Mentoring is provided for classroom support with feedback from Mentors working through TLC. This is a coaching model for participants to receive support in areas such as instructional strategies,curriculum delivery, academic rigor, use of academic time, student engagement, and etc. TLC support is not evaluative. The TLC's Teacher Leadership event is scheduled each summer at Davie's FAU Campus. The twelve hour event is scheduled during four evenings from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Required reading for this event is the CHAMPs book by Randy Sprick.

SBBC teachers receive a free copy of the CHAMPs book when attending the CHAMPs training through ESS/BRITE or through the NTA (New Teacher Academy).

If you have not attended one of these events and do not have a personal copy of the CHAMPs book, sign up for training through ESS.
